National Institute of Justice (NIJ) Standard 0101.06
Ballistic Test Chart

NIJ Standard 0101.06 is the new standard for Ballistic Resistance of Police Body Armor developed by the law enforcement standards laboratory of the National Institute of Justice (NIJ), US Department of Justice, Washington DC. This new standard is designed to test the armor to more rigorous testing methods than before,  including -  complete submersion in water, accelerated conditioning and environmental tests and increased ammunition velocities for some threats.
