Light Ballistic Attack Helmet, Level IIIA

Overview

The Striker LA is the lightest Level IIIA ballistic helmet available on the market today; at about 2 lbs, it is approximately 40% lighter than standard helmets. The helmet shell is constructed of advanced multi-layered Aramid; the 3 point suspension harness assembly consists of a foam-cushioned leather headband and chinstrap; the helmet can be fitted with ballistic or riot visors. The minimized visor accomodates accessories such as protective goggles, night vision goggles (NVG), gas mask, and a communication system. The ergonomic design and reduced ear & neck profile enable unrestricted movement for urban warfare. Based on the ACH helmet design, the Striker LA is ideal for SWAT teams and special forces, terror combatants and infantry corps.

Ballistic Performance

• Tested in accordance with the American National Institute of Justice (NIJ) standard 0106.01 for penetration and back face deformation at Level IIIA using 9mm and .44 Magnum ammunition.
• V50 ballistic test according to MIL-STD-662F, 17 grains: 1850 ft/sec (565 m/sec).

Optional Face Shield Attachments

• 4mm transparent face guard for impact and riot control.
• Ballistic face shield for multiple hits of NIJ Level II 9mm rounds. The face shield is securely mounted on the helmet via a form-fitting polymer visor band with adjustable rear lock. The face shield can be locked into 2 positions.
