MIL-D1 Metal Detector

MIL-D1
MIL-D1

Description

State-of-the-art digital metal detector for ground search applications

Overview

The MIL-D1 is a portable, high-sensitivity metal detector designed to detect magnetic and non-magnetic metals in conductive and nonconductive soils, including laterite and magnetite. The detection head is light, and the wiring is designed to be protected from any possible damage. The electronics unit can be carried over the shoulder, attached to a belt with special hooks, or as an integral part of the telescopic handle.

The MIL-D1 does not require any manual calibration; in addition, CEIA’s exclusive Automatic Soil Compensation System ensures optimum sensitivity over all types of terrain. The two-tone audible pinpointing system allows accurate localization of metal objects.

The MIL-D1 has been designed to satisfy the most stringent operational requirements for both humanitarian and military de-mining and conforms to ISO-9001 Quality Control Standard procedures.

Standard Features

  • Overall superior performance in detection distance, soil compensation capability and immunity to external interference
  • Efficient detection of metal and plastic anti-personnel and anti-tank mines
  • Accurate pinpointing of the mine’s position using a bi-tonal system and acoustic modulation proportional to the dimensions of the detected mass
  • High discrimination capability for adjacent mines
  • Compensation for mineralized and high natural metal content soils
  • Static and dynamic detection independent of the speed of transit of the detector head
  • Long-lasting battery charge
  • Light, ergonomic detection head designed for continuous use
  • Extremely high level of electrical and mechanical reliability
  • Operation monitored by a microcomputer-controlled auto diagnostic system
  • Completely digital electronics, with in-the-field program memory upgrade capability
  • Ease of use with minimum training time required
